Wolf`s base in Costa da Caparica, a beach town located in the west coast of Almada county on the north west tailing of the Setubal peninsula was the perfect enviroment for Wolf`s surfboard endovers.
The Caparica beach was the birth place in the late 70`s for surfboard manufactoring. The Caparica beach town housed the first portuguese surfboard companie, the Lip Stick surfboards, builded by our unfortunate António Pereira Caldas and California`s Santa Cruz local surfer/shaper Nick Uricchio. Others went to the "so-called" shortboard revolution, who only has arrived by the early 1980`s like: New Power, Take Off, Alva, Ypsilon, Stress, Lufi`s, Paulo Jacinto and Nuno Matta. This is the era Wolf identifies as the starting point in his own progression of surfboard designs.
With over 30-years of commitment to improving his skills as a shaper. The Wolf`s surfboards are not only far from replica, they have devoloped on their own. Wolf`s surfboards are of a completely unique evolution of design. Each surfboard is crafted with a simple, yet innovative purpose: to empower the surfer to ride a wave in such a way he or she never thought possible. His commitment to his vision and his perpetual learning from the masters of surfboard shaping is fuelled by belief… you never truly "arrive".
Wolf continues to reside with his life mate and son in his hometown of Almada
Shaping became a way of living. We build surfboards for our custom friends to see their happyness in riding waves on our surfboards. That will give us an infinity pleasure of full happyness.
